Sony Cybershot DSC-G3 Wifi Camera - hands on

[CES 2009] I got my hands on the famous WiFi camera that Sony launched at CES. I was given an on-screen demo of how easy it is to upload a picture on the main multimedia websites such as Picasa or Youtube from the device’s basic web browser. Note that the camera on the picture was not connected to the Internet, the demo was done by a Sony representative on another one connected on the monitor (see pictures in the gallery).

It is the first camera with a web browser, it gives a quick access to the pre-selected websites but you can browse and upload to any site you want. The camera can connect to secure and public WiFi hotspots, including hotels and airport. For $500, you get a 10 MP camera with a “free” WiFi connection with AT&T, that’s cool.
