Acer Tempo DX900 Does The Dual-SIM Thing

[Mobile World Congress] Dual SIM phones are dime a dozen and they aren’t exactly rare these days, but Acer’s Tempo DX900 is different as it is the first dual SIM smartphone in the world that supports both 3G and 2G SIM cards. Again like the Tempo X960, this misses out on the Windows Mobile 6.5 boat but hopefully Acer will provide a free upgrade in the near future. Features of the DX900 are as follows :-

  • Genuine Windows Mobile 6.1
  • Samsung S3C 6400 mobile processor (533 MHz)
  • 128MB SDRAM 256MB flash memory
  • 2.8″ VGA TFT LCD touch screen at 640x 480 resolution
  • microSD memory card slot
  • 3.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus
  • SIM 1: HSDPA/UMTS (2100/1900/850 MHz), Quad-Band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz), EDGE, GPRS
  • SIM 2: GSM Tri-Band(900/1800/1900)
  • 802.11b/g Wi-Fi CERTIFIED network connection
  • Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)

There is still no word on pricing as at press time, but if you want the best dual SIM phone in the market today, look no further than the Acer Tempo DX900. [Product Page]
