Aptera Specifications Unveiled

What you see above is one weird looking vehicle, but it could hold the ticket to a smog-free city one day. Nice to see Aptera release its specifications at the ongoing Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) conference. The car boasts an extremely wide front track with a relatively short wheelbase, featuring a coefficient drag of 0.15 in addition a weight of 1,500 pounds. The electric motor used can pump out 60 lb-ft of torque at an undetermined RPM, while its lithium ion phosphate battery pack holds 10-13 kWh of power, raising eyebrows and keeping many to predict that an optional pack capable of extending range from the standard 100 miles up to 125 miles will be made available. Other features include a standard emergency tire inflation system, interior fabrics and plastics made from recycled materials, a smart key and solar glass. Not something you would like to use in a cross country trip though as it seems way too fragile.
