Word on the street has it that Asus is currently mulling over the decision on whether they should raise prices on its current and upcoming notebook and netbook range, with a figure as high as 20% being bandied about. This isn’t exactly a nice piece of news to hear considering the whole world’s in recession now, and during hard times, people would definitely appreciate it if certain essential goods were lowered in price instead of being taken advantage of just because it is a necessity. Should this rumor hold any water, how will Asus then maintain its competitive edge against many other netbook players who are more than willing to take care of renegade Asus customers? What do you think of Asus’ next move?
