Asus Eee PCs Get Windows 7

[Mobile World Congress] Asus will be rolling out 3.5G-equipped Eee PCs that have Windows 7 as the operating system of choice, offering users the first 3.5G netbooks in the world that will feature Microsoft’s latest operating system. Asus will enlist the assistance of Huawei by using their high performance EM770 embedded module which is one of the first 3.5G embedded modules developed for Windows 7 in the world. The two Eee PC models on display are the Eee PC 1003HA and the Eee PC T91, where the former comes with a 10” LED-backlit display, 160GB hard drive and an additional 10GB of online Eee Storage while the latter boasts a rotatable touchscreen. On a similar note, Asus will also work on delivering an Eee PC with both WiMAX and Wi-Fi capabilities. No idea on when these will be released nor how much they will retail for, but it will surely bring seamless connectivity closer to our doorstep.
