Calendar Lens Offers New Twist To Telling The Date

Talk about an innovative way to create a calendar – Sharad Haskar has taken the idea of a manual focus camera lens by throwing in an adjustable ring with the relevant elements to turn it into a calendar, fooling just about everyone from afar. The Calendar Lens is made from a single aluminum block and sculpted into a lens shape, where its front ring elements are marked with the year, month and date – shutterbugs will miss out on the focus distance, shutter speed and aperture values here. Each ring is able to control an aspect of the calendar, making it good to last from 2008 until 2032 – although we suspect something much better will be unveiled by then. No idea on whether this is electronically powered or not, but changing the date won’t take too much time from your life, all you need is a simple twist. You can pick up a custom-made version for $2,000 a pop.
