Joining the PowerShot SD780 IS is the Canon PowerShot SD960 IS Digital ELPH that shares pretty much the same functions and features found in the former, although you do get an improvement in the zoom department as well as a slightly larger LCD display. No idea on how much more one would have to fork out for these slight improvements, but it should be more than adequate for those who are jumping into the world of digital photography for the first time.
