If you were thinking of getting the recently released Dell Mini 10 netbook, you might want to hold your horses. After all, Dell will not allow you to upgrade its RAM to more than the 1GB they give you if you’re going to run on Windows XP as per Microsoft licensing rules. This blows, but good thing there is this thing called manual upgrades, right? Dell Chief Blogger Lionel Menchaca wrote “Initially, all Mini 10s will come with 1GB fixed RAM (which means it will not be upgradable).” – no idea on when this will be corrected, but it is a serious blow to users who find the Dell Mini netbooks to be one of the better ones out there.
