Word on the street has it that DoCoMo of Japan is lining up a brand new cell phone from Toshiba this year that will attempt to have a go at Apple’s iPhone, and we’re interested to see the apparent handicap involved in such an event happening with the use of Windows Mobile as the operating system of choice. Could it be that Windows Mobile 6.5 or even 7 be used to wow users, in addition to a 4.1″ touchscreen display and a speedy 1GHz processor? Hopefully Toshiba does a good job out of it, as we would love to see Windows Mobile devices go through a revival, and DoCoMo, please make such a handset available outside of Japan.
