
Garmin Asus are hot off the blocks with a couple of new phone announcements earlier today, and here’s yet another piece of news that will surely excite fans of the Eee line – the alliance between both companies will also spawn an Eee Phone that will be announced later this year. It will be marketed as a low-cost smartphone (sounds like an oxymoron, eh), and is touted to be the first Asus model that will be powered by Google’s Android software, although that remains as a rumor for the time being.
