Freeplay ZipCharge Power Stick

[Mobile World Congress] Freeplay is currently making the most of MWC ’09 by parading its ZipCharge power stick, targeting those who want to power their handsets whenever and wherever in the absence of a power outlet. What makes this different from other portable phone chargers is the nano-phosphate lithium cell within, requiring the ZipCharge a mere 10 minutes to charge to full capacity. Sounds almost as good as fuel cell technology, eh? Each ZipCharge will come with a bunch of tips to cater to the numerous handsets that are currently available. Freeplay has also worked on similar technology to juice up notebooks, and we hope that this will be available to the masses real soon. Imagine taking just 10 minutes to charge your notebook instead of the usual hours! Expect to see the ZipCharge hit stores this April for £60 a pop.
