T-Mobile G1 owners, listen up! You now have a brand new firmware for your Android operating system that comes in version 1.1 RC33. What does this update entail? For starters, you will be able to get this update OTA (Over The Air) – great for folks who can’t be bothered to manually apply updates even when there is a security risk at hand. As with any other firmware update, you will find a range of bug fixes with the RC33 in addition to inclusion of new enhancements such as ability to use the Google Voice Search. You’ll be disappointed to know that this isn’t the Cupcake update that was raved about recently, but keep your G1 turned on this February 15th to make sure your smartphone is on the latest firmware then.
