
If you’re looking to run Linux on your HP Mini 1000 and reside in the UK, we’re sorry to tell you that you’re out of luck. HP won’t be releasing such a bundle in that part of the world, as folks living there will just have to learn to live with Windows XP instead after handing over 450 quid. When a HP spokesperson was contacted for the reason behind this move, it seems that a study have shown that it is more viable to settle for a Windows XP only SKU instead of offering both. Well, guess this is where import shops come in, so expect to fork out a small fortune and watch out for scalpers.
