I-O Data BDVRP-UH4 External Blu-ray Player

I-O Data of Japan has just announced its new BDVRP-UH4 external Blu-ray player that is super slim – how does 21mm sound to you? It will be available in Japan only at this point in time, retailing for €235, although we’re pretty sure one will be able to import this albeit at an inflated price. The BDVRP-UH4 does not only play your Blu-ray movies, it also doubles up as a portable DVD burner. The innards are courtesy of Hitachi-LG and it comes with a buffer of 4MB.
