iCON 431 3G USB Modem

3G USB modems are getting more and more commonplace these days, so it would be nice to see better designs come out instead of boring old rectangular or oval shaped ones. Unfortunately for us, the iCON 431 USB modem doesn’t differ in this department, although the rounded edges do complement Mac computers somewhat. Specifications are pretty standard, with download speed support of up to 7.2Mbps as well as upload speeds of 2Mbps thanks to HSUPA, while it supports the much slower EDGE and GPRS connections as well. Nice to see iCON keeping up with the times by throwing in a microSDHC memory card slot that turns this into an impromptu 8GB flash drive. Each 170 Euro purchase will come with Launch2net software for Mac users.
