The iPoint 3D is a gesture-based display that allows ordinary folks to communicate using simple gestures, all without touching it with a data glove or using 3D glasses. The iPoint 3D will feature a recognition device within that is slightly larger than your regular keyboard, and being that small and lightweight, it can be suspended from the ceiling above the user or take a more terra firma approach by being integrated into a coffee table. There are a couple of integrated FireWire cameras that detech the hands and fingers in real time, where such information will then be trasmitted to a computer for interpretation without the use of physical contact or special markers. The mighty finger looks set to be the remote control of the future.
