K-9 Robot Loses In Cute Competition

The newest winner in this round of the Trossen Robotics competition is the K-9, and judging by the name, you can tell it is an electronic version of man’s best friend. This autonomous pooch comes with a stripe across its eyes, making it look like a Ninja Turtle (Michaelangelo and his trademark orange color). This robotic pet is supposed to be smart enough to navigate through its surroundings while interacting with those living in the same house. It won’t run on four limbs but rely on treads instead, with a built-in sensor handy to avoid obsctables and people. Just like a real dog, the K-9 will be more sedate the older it gets, although we’re not sure what happens when 15 years come to pass – will its springs automatically pop out?
