The good people over at iFIXit have managed to dissect a Kindle 2 and discovered that a microscopic alien race has made the innards of the device their home – we jest. Actually, they realized that there is enough room for a SIM card as you can see in the circled region, despite the fact that there are no SIM card holders in place. Do you think this points toward and international version with a built-in SIM card holder sometime in the near future?
