[Mobile World Congress] No, the S-Class here does not denote the high end Mercedes Benz but instead is a new user interface unveiled by LG, with the newly announced Windows Mobile 6.5 running in the background. In fact, LG is so hot for the latest Windows Mobile operating system, they dropped news that up to 50 of the Korean company’s devices will be released with Windows Mobile 6.5 as the operating system of choice. The S-Class user interface will go up against HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface, featuring a finger-friendly interface menu system that works pretty ok, although there were a few bugs evident in this morning’s sneak peek. LG assures everyone (it couldn’t do anything less, could it?) that these bugs will be removed with time, so let’s hope they keep to their word. It will be interesting to see how this LG-Microsoft partnership plays out when the former is also a member of the Open Handset Alliance.
