Last July’s promise for a file-sharing feature on MobileMe has finally materialized, where it enables users to share files with others in a simple and fast manner – all you need to do is place the intended file in your iDisk while using the new Share File command in the iDisk web app and you’re good to go – no more waiting while your large attachment is uploaded, only to discover that the recipient’s inbox is full and having the mail bounced back. Apple has even set up a video tutorial to help users get familiar with this feature. With Apple fulfilling this promise, does it mean it is the end of the road for alternative free and fee-based online services like YouSendIt, Sendspace, Rapidshare, MegaUpload and others?
