Panasonic has released its first blood pressure monitor to come with an SD memory card slot, which is interesting as this follows the other Panasonic products that feature a similar slot such as TVs and camcorders, although a blood pressure monitor is rather unorthodox. Ah well, at least you can save data of up to five different people onto this card and read them straight off on a computer or doctor’s PC – assuming you have the right software to do so, that is. What next, a Wi-Fi enabled blood pressure monitor that compares your readout with an online health site only to have it download specific steps to lower your blood pressure? We think this will cost enough to raise your blood pressure by a notch or two.
