Tristan Zimmerman is the man behind this iPod speaker system known as the Phonophone Il iPhone. What makes it different from the rest is obviously the form factor, as it takes advantage of the science of horn acoustics in order to make sure rich sound is maintained whilst boosting audio output of the standard earphone jack to 55 decibels – that is roughly the equivalent of volume a pair of laptop speakers pump out. Not too shabby when you consider that there is no electricity to back you up – the Phonophone II iPhone doesn’t run on batteries. Visually, it is stunning, although you won’t be needing this to host a party at your pad. Would you fork out the $600 that Tristan Zimmerman asks in exchange for the Phonophone II iPhone?
