Pixel Qi has just made known that they will start to ship low-power external displays for use with notebooks, and when they’re plugged in, they’re able to prolong notebook battery life by up to a phenomenal 50%. IT seems that the LCD displays used is able to absorb natural light sources so that it ends up brighter than normal without having to suck up more juice, resulting in a much longer battery life for your notebook as less resources is used. Sounds very zen, like certain disciplines of martial arts that uses the strength of the opponent in one’s favor. Pixel Qi is hoping to further improve on this technology, and so are we.
