Sakar at Toy Fair 2009 has released a netbook for kids, featuring a 10″ display and a chassis that will appeal to kids thanks to the choice of colors – hot pink, purple, red and silver. The three-cell battery is pretty standard and keeps in line with netbook specifications, while you can surf the Internet with it thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi chipset. While the keyboard does extend almost from edge-to-edge, several keys are strangely undersized and placed in weird positions – for example, the right Shift key is above the Up arrow key), but will kids find this to be annoying? It is powered by a Linux operating system, featuring a tabbed user interface that is a snap to warm up to. There is no word on a release date as at press time.
