Samsung might be pretty quiet with the slew of cell phone releases from rival companies today, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t doing anything about the situation. In fact, Samsung has just announced the 8 megapixel Omnia HD which will boast the following seemingly amazing specifications (for a cell phone, at least – these were all unthought of a five years ago) :-
- 3.7″ display at 360 x 640 resolution
- HSUPA connectivity
- GPS navigation
- Bluetooth support
- 8GB/16GB internal memory
- microSDHC memory card slot
The 8 megapixel camera on the Omnia HD is also able to record 1,280 x 720 video at 24fps – not full High Definition yet though, but it is definitely a start. Guess you can see where the 8GB/16GB internal memory comes in handy, especially when you’re dealing with HD video.
