It’s pretty hard for a webcam to get any buzz these days, but the design of the Tandberg PrecisionHD Camera and its HD (720p) capabilities with autofocus have caught our attention. In addition to its optical abilities, at least on the paper, the camera also has noise a canceling microphone. Now, you should know that you need serious upload bandwidth to use the TANDBERG PrecisionHD at its full potential: the 720p audio/video stream requires 1.5Mbps and if you have a kick-ass upload speed, there’s even an “unlimited” video quality that will be capped by your upload bandwidth (and the camera itself, obviously).
It’s optimized for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2, but what we really want to know is how well it will work with Skype or MSN? (Also, take a look at our Quickcam Pro 9000 review)
