Check out the two different DLP Pico projectors from Texas Instruments above – one is the old, while the other is new. No prizes for guessing which is which, as the newer model manages to output 854 x 480 pixel resolution despite being 20% thinner and less voluminous. Not only that, it is also brighter and more power efficient than its predecessor – hopefully more of these will appear in other gadgets in the future apart from cell phones. We can just imagine the DS with one of these built-in – no more tiny 3″ displays to squint at and arousing feelings of jealousy whenever we cast a glance at the Sony PSP.
