Trimble has released its brand new Yuma rugged tablet PC last week that features the following specifications :-
- 7″ display at WVGA resolution
- Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
- Intel 945GSE chipset
- Windows Vista Business
- 32GB SSD
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Bluetooth 2.0
- GPS support
Trimble’s Yuma is not called rugged for no reason, as it is able to operate just fine in temperatures ranging from -22 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, all the while conforming to MIL-STD-810F performance for drops, vibration, and humidity. Other connectivity features include a couple of USB 2.0 ports, a docking port, an SDIO slot and an ExpressCard slot. There is no integrated keyboard or keypad, so everything is touch operated.
