UMID Mbook At MWC 2009

Check out what UMID has in store for the world at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Incidentally, today is the last day, so take a good look around if you’re there while you still can before waiting for the next edition in 2010. The MID on parade is known as the Mbook, and it comes with a 4.8″ touch screen display at 1,024 x 600 resolution in addition to a built-in webcam for video calls, all running on the Intel Atom platform. You will get the following features as well :-

• 512MB/1GB RAM
• Windows XP/Vista/Linux
• Mini USB 2.0 port
• microSD memory card slot
• USIM card slot
• 1.3 megapixel webcam
• Mobile TV support

We wouldn’t touch the Vista option with this, considering the lack of on-board memory and slow processor, making Linux or XP the saner choice.
