Verizon Wireless 4G Network On Track For 2010 Launch

Verizon Wireless is currently undertaking trials for their 4G network and these are going on smoothly, with their 2010 commercial launch looking steady. In fact, trials have shown download speeds to touch anywhere from 50Mbps to 60Mbps on average, but be warned that this is due to a clutter-free network as real world performance will degrade significantly although they will offer a supposedly improved experience over current 3G networks. They didn’t mention whether the 2010 launch will be at the beginning, middle or end of the year but we’re looking at a 10 to 18 month buffer in any case. Time to see 4G-capable cell phones released by manufacturers soon to ride this wave.
