1.86GHz Atom Processor Is Expensive

It doesn’t make much sense when you realize that the 1.86GHz Atom Z540 processor is just 200MHz faster than the super popular 1.6GHz version, but the difference in pricing is nearly double, making the additional 200MHz one of the more expensive purchases you’ll ever make in this market segment ever. After all, 1.6GHz Atom-powered netbooks aren’t exactly slowpokes by any means, and hopefully Intel will realize just how many more 1.86GHz Atom processors they’d move if the price was lowered to a more logical level.
