Amazon seems to play a pivotal role in rolling out HD video downloads in order to keep up with Apple’s recently announced iTunes HD movie offering which was made known to the world last week. It seems that HD episodes of TV shows will cost $2.99 – similar to the pricing structure on iTunes, while complete seasons could eventually perform a $53 combo on your bank account. The only question we should ask as of now is “When?”. Do you think HD video downloads will take off in the future, especially when Blu-ray versions of some series could retail for under $50?
