AMD Launches FirePro 2450

AMD has just rolled out its latest video card – the ATi FirePro 2450. This board is actually an extremely small and slim video card that is able to support up to a quartet of displays, being hooked to four DVI or VGA displays simultaneously even at resolutions as high as 1,920 x 1,200. According to AMD, they’re looking at stock market trackers as well as other parties who want to have maximum screen real estate as possible without incurring costs of purchasing additional video cards. The FirePro 2450 is also environmentally friendly, sipping just 32W under a heavy load while standard 2D-only conditions will take up a mere 17W. Supported visual effects include DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 2.1. The 512MB FirePro will ship for $499 a pop.
