Apple Biometric Reader

Apple recently developed a new method which conceals a biometric reader within an iPhone or Mac, letting owners of the respective system lock it down using fingerprints as well as facial recognition without having to adjust their lifestyle adversely. This was revealed via a patent filing for the process, where Apple intends to introduce a more secure manner to prevent unauthorized access to the device where one’s private information could be gleaned with wanton abandon. In addition, this solution intends to kill two birds with a single stone by not taking up extra space via a distinct reader or waste time with a separate scan. Instead, it will use a sensor hidden within the device that recognizes fingerprints or a finger vein pattern as long as the user touches the display. This idea could also be applied to a trackpad found on the Mac.
