Apple loves doing things in a subtle manner, and latest news has it that the wired Apple Keyboard will now come without the numeric keypad, where everything else is designed in a similar manner as the wireless model that also has been classified as MIA where its numeric keypad is concerned. The wired version, however, has USB plugs on each end, while a cord of its own will make its way to your desktop machine. This does not mean Apple has phased out the regular keyboard, so Mac-using accountants can heave a collective sigh of relief for the moment. If you want the new keyboard with a missing numeric keypad, make sure your order has been configured to include the free “upgrade.”
