Archos hopes that 2009 will be a good year with plans to roll out a new multimedia internet tablet that is powered by the Android platform. This Android-powered device is said to launch sometime from the beginning of Q3 onwards, but apart from that, very little else is known save for the company’s aim to “integrate telephony to its future multimedia internet tablet” and deliver “communication and entertainment in a single mobile device”. Hopefully this year will be a better one for Archos (as well as all the other companies in the world) – it’d be a shame to see them bow out of the business.
