We just covered news of a new Asus Eee PC that will feature an optical disc drive last week, and today Asus pulls the rug from under virtually everyone by making the 1004DN official. This model will come with a Super-Multi optical disc drive that allows you to read from the drive itself while making recorded copies of important data files, apart from bringing the same old stuff that new netbooks these days have. Other special ticket items from Asus with the 1004DN include a power-efficient ExpressCard slot, Asus’ Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology and the Asus Data Security System (ADSM) which allows users to log-on using their fingerprints.
