Boiling an egg is not rocket science, but there are still some people out there who find it challenging to do so in a kitchen. Enter the BeepEgg device that will play a range of selected songs to denote egg hardness. For example, hearing “Killing Me Softly” means your egg is done to soft-boiled status, while a couple more tunes will point toward medium and hard, respectively. In order to stop the BeepEgg from singing, all you need to do is drop it into some cold water and it’ll shut up. While the BeepEgg is relatively affordable at £15, the 18-month battery life inside makes the whole thing not the greenest device in the market.
