BenQ has just rolled out its HD-ready Joybook S57 notebook today, although it won’t be able to support full High Definition as it maxes out at native 1,366 x 768 resolution instead. Since the Joybook S57 is meant to be an entertainment-centric notebook, it comes with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a response time of 8ms and a 220 nits LED display with UltraVivid technology for superior color depth and detail definition. Powered by an Intel Centrino 2 processor with a next-generation ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 GPU, the Joybook S57 also does great sounding audio with its 2-channel SRS TruSurround HD and SRS Headphone 360. Before you drop your dough to bring this puppy home, you can decide between an 8X DVD Super-Multi optical disc drive or a 2X Blu-ray DVD combo. No idea on pricing, but it will be released this March 9th in selected markets – namely Australia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
