Check out this DIY project that will help light up electric bulbs in your home, letting you save not only money in the long run but burn calories as well while at home. Using a ’75 Schwinn Exceriser stationary bike, one affixes a fixed magnet electric motor rubbing on the wheel to spin the motor, garnering enough power to light up 110 volt electric bulbs (or Christmas lights as seen here). It produces zero carbon footprint and gives you a good cardio workout as well. We wish more and more people will take up the green challenge in days to come.
