Buffalo is no stranger to the Solid State Disk (SSD) market, and has now teamed up with Asus to offer a USB enclosure specifically for the Eee PC 901 SSDs. The whole point to this device from Buffalo is to plug in the USB module while making an image of your internal SSD to the new module before making that swap. That way, you can use the older 16GB SSD as an additional storage option by sticking it into the enclosure. These enclosures from Buffalo will retail for around $130 with a 32GB SSD while a 64GB SSD will set you back by around $228 after conversion. There is no word on whether these’ll be available in the US, but we do know they’ll be released somewhere in this world next month.
