Contxts: Send SMS Instead of Swapping Business Cards

Contxts is a service that is aimed at replacing business cards swapping with SMS. Anyone can get your business card by sending an SMS that contains your username to 50500. Should business cards printers worry? May be not. We’ll have to test it in the field, but it’s doubtful that Contxts is more convenient if you’re dealing with people that you don’t know. I takes one second to drop a card, while it might take 10 times longer to have someone actually SMS the service. We think that this is great for your friends and family for whom you will be likely to take the time to spell your username and all. We still need to find a better way… In the meantime, we grabbed usernames. Oh, and did we mention that anyone who can guess your username can get your info? Does it creep you out?
