Cowon O2 Gets 3rd Party Apps

Thanks to the release of the SDK for the O2, Cowon’s latest portable media player will soon be flooded with third party applications – assuming that there is a relatively healthy user base to begin with. To date, there are around 9 applications for the O2 which is pretty sad considering how the iPhone and iPod touch have thousands upon thousands of applications to choose from. Even then, these offerings for the Cowon O2 are mostly games such as Tetris, O2Pong, BubbleWrap and Bounce. We are keeping our fingers crossed that a much more mature application scene will start to brew for the Cowon O2, but the chances of that happening is not likely.
