Word on the street has it that Dell will be preparing a new line of Latitude 2100 Welch netbooks that will feature 10″ displays to tease consumers. The rumored $600 price point might be more expensive than usual, placing it on the extremely high end of the netbook league, but in return you do get an Intel Atom processor (hopefully of the N280 variety), up to 2GB RAM (wonder what Microsoft has to say about this), a built-in SSD for more reliable storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. To keep in vogue with other netbook manufacturers, it seems as though the Latitude 2100 will also come with a 6-cell battery option for superior performance. The Latitude 2100 Welch is tipped to arrive in markets this May, coming in a variety of colors to greet the back-to-school season including School Bus Orange.
