Devices that are powered or will run on the Google Android platform will soon be able to offer handwriting recognition thanks to the efforts of Diotek, a Korean mobile software developer who managed to roll out a handwriting recognition engine specially for that platform. Currently, this software is able to recognize handwritten Korean, English cursive and alphanumeric – hopefully they will include more and more languages down the road. No idea on which device manufacturer willl pre-load this software onto their device first though.
