Namco jumps in Facebook games with Pac Man and Dig Dug, two arcade classics. First of all, the sheer size of the application tells us how far we’ve come in wasting computing resources. The original Pac Man ran on a 3Mhz computer and used only 24KB of storage. The Facebook version uses 34MB and a 1000Mhz+ processor. Secondly, after playing 10 minutes, you’ll have to pay $10. Ouch! So playing Pac Man on Facebook twice could buy you the entire Namco Museum… Namco, what were you thinking?
