FCC Gives Thumbs Up To Gigabyte Touch Note M1028

The powers-that-be at the FCC has decided to approve the Gigabyte Touch Note M1028 for use in the US, and strangely enough, the manual refersto the Gigabyte Touch Note M1028 as the M1028 CafeBook instead. Originally spotted at CeBIT last week, this notebook will come with a 10″ touchscreen display that is able to swivel down over the keyboard, with an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor chugging in the background. You can opt from two battery options – the 4-cell 4500mAh battery or a 6-cell 7650mAh battery. Connectivity options include an 802.11a/b/g WiFi module with additional options for Bluetooth, 3.5G wireless broadband and WiMAX. One thing that sets the Gigabyte Touch Note M1028 apart from other netbooks is the inclusion of ExpressCard slots.
