Foxconn, a Taiwanese contract manufacturer has created an internal A-Team (“A” as in Android), some say to build Android-based phones for Motorola (see previous rumor). We don’t know if this is true or not, but whether or not Motorola is a customer, or even the first Android customer of Foxconn, the fact is: Foxconn cannot escape from Android. More phone makers will want in and having a team to serve them is imperative.
Foxconn is a company that’s unknown to most consumers because they work in the shadow of established brands. Chances are, you’ve handled a device that was made by Foxconn in the past. Motorola, Apple, Dell, HP, Sony or Amazon (and more) are among its customers
