Fujitsu Has New Scanners

Fujitsu caters to both PC and Mac crowds with a couple of new scanners – the ScanSnap S1500 and the white ScanSnap S1500M. Both scanners are faster compared to its predecessors as expected, capable of doing 60ppm when scanning black and white documents while color documents will command a scan speed of 20ppm. Image scanning speeds have been rated at 40 images per minute, where both models are able to automatically detect page size, orientation, color setting and whether both sides of the page are printed. The maximum optical resolution currently stands at 600dpi. Interestingly enough, both the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 and ScanSnap S1500M will retail for $495.
