One of the major problems with netbooks would be the lack of battery power for the long haul, but cramming in a relatively large battery would mean sacrificing on the portability part. The HP Mini 1000 is the latest netbook in the market to receive the extended 6-cell battery treatment, where the Lithium-Polymer battery (FZ332AA#ABB) has been slapped with a $95.99 price tag. This will probably appeal to folks who already own a HP Mini 1000, as at time of purchase, the $279.99 netbook’s 3-cell stock battery could be upgraded to the 6-cell variant for another $40.00. Alternatively, customers have the choice of picking up both batteries for another $119.
